WR Custom Guitars is pleased to have been a part of the 2013 Rumford Heritage Day Jam during the Crossroads Celtic Festival featuring 10 Strings and a Goat Skin, Silas & Nolan Rogers, and the Gawler Sisters. Here’s a big shout out to Phil McIntyre & The Skye Theatre in Carthage, Maine for organizing the event and inviting us! Visit them on the web at www.NECelticArts.com for show info.

WRC displayed several hand built custom acoustic guitars and brought sample materials from The Builder’s Workshop, where anyone can build a custom acoustic guitar hands-on, one-to-one instruction with Luthier William Russo in Wilton, Maine.

The course is designed to give you a hands on experience in guitar building. Choose from 2 different body types built very close to the Martin style. The 2 options are standard Dreadnought or Triple 000 14 fret. Working with high quality serviced materials, you will be guided each step of the way as you craft your very own guitar.  These are high quality guitars with incredible tone and sound. Extensive wood working skills are not required, but the willingness to follow instructions and try new things is a plus. Those who are up for more of a challenge may select from different tone woods, extensive marquetry, custom shell work, high-end electronics, and even cutaway builds at additional cost. Our custom options and upgrades cost much less than you would pay for custom factory work.
